Am I? =)
Friday, March 30, 2007, 3/30/2007 04:59:00 PM

AM I? =)

Your view on yourself:You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
The seriousness of your love:You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?
Your views on education:Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.
The right job for you:You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
How do you view success:You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.
What are you most afraid of:You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.
Who is your true self:You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Was playing Ping Pong with 2 stranger and and was suppose to leave at 630pm to meet Duk at 730pm at city hall MRT for our dance lesson which start at 8pm. But I cant bear to leave the ping pong table and played till 7pm. After that rush to the bus stop but the bus came super duper late at around 725pm. Than thought that after the bus reach its 1st stop after the expressway, i will take taxi. But guess wat? The bus break down along the road shoulder of the expressway and it is already 750pm. This is the 1st time im experiencing a bus break down. So in the end, I have to get out of the bus and walk along the expressway. This is also the 1st time im walking along an expressway and hailing for cabby. But no cabby want to stop. ="( Maybe have to stick out my leg than got use ba ;( So, I climb across a small drain, run across the HDB flats and hail for a cab and by that time, its already 8pm. Ask the cabby driver to go long pang Duk and we went for our Hip Hop lesson. By the time we reach there, its already 820 but luckily they still doing warm up.

Had my 1st lesson of hip-hop dance at OSchool. This is the 1st time im actually dancing. The lesson was fun although theres a slight co-ordination problems btw my hand and my leg. Saturday, March 10, 2007, 3/10/2007 12:03:00 AM

Woo~

Finally i'm back. =) Long time no see!!! Have not been in here for quite some time due to financial and time management problem. Cause my internet own alot of $$$ and kena cut-off by the singtel. And guess wat, i cannot cancel it even though the contract is over... They need me to pay off the debts first... And the monthly fees is still included... WTH!!

Think i need to work more to pay off the debts. Haiz. If they have a dishwasher department which help to clean their staff utensil of if they consider to hire a kopi-boy to help them serve kopi or buy lunch, i will surely be the first one to put up my hand to volunteer to work for them...

Recently joined a race called dunno wat xtream race which organise by NTU. Its some sort like amazing race... woo~ Make some new friends. We eat together, play together, talk cock together, run together, shit together(of course in different cubical, 1 cubical is not big enough for 2 backside...) Have an amazing time with them. Cheers~ and good luck to all.

Now its holiday time... Waiting for my results. Think my Maths GoGo already. The exams start at 230pm and i was like at there counting down to 3o'clock to leave the hall. When the clock strike 3pm. I was like putting up my hand enthusiasticly, asking the teacher to come and collect my paper. And while walking out of the hall, it felt like wind blowing towards me cause im the first one to hand in my maths paper. =) Haiz. Now waiting for my supp paper. Think need my Chi-na friend to help me pass my supp. Cross-hand. =x

Think after the race i gonna concentrate on my studies and start to work and work and work and work and work. One of my friend sae no work = no $$$ = no shopping = no happiness. For me, no work = no $$$ = nothing to do = no happiness. So need to earn $$$.

Cheers~

The famous race of the Rabbit and the Tortise - II
Friday, March 09, 2007, 3/09/2007 11:43:00 PM

~a story that I felt interesting and meaningful

The famous race of the Rabbit and the Tortoise - II

The Story Doesn't End Here~

Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster.
They decided to settle the argument with a race.
They agreed on a route and started off the race. The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time. Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under
a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race. He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ. The hare woke up and realized that he'd lost the race. The moral- "Slow and steady wins the race. This is the version of the story that we've all grown up with."

THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE

there are few more interesting things.....it continues as follows......

The hare was disappointed at losing the race and he did some soul-searching.
He realized that he'd lost the race only because he had been overconfident, careless and lax.
If he had not taken things for granted, there's no way the tortoise could have beaten him. So he challenged the tortoise to another race. The tortoise agreed. This time, the hare went all out and ran without stopping from start to finish. He won by several miles. The moral - " Fast and consistent will always beat the slow and steady. It's good to be slow and steady; but it's better to be fast and reliable."

THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE

The tortoise did some thinking this time, and realized that there's no way it can beat the hare in a race the way it was currently formatted.
It thought for a while, and then challenged the hare to another race, but on a slightly different route. The hare agreed. They started off. In keeping with his self-made commitment to be consistently fast, the hare took off and ran at top speed until he came to a broad river. The finishing line was a couple of kilometres on the other side of the river. The hare sat there wondering what to do. In the meantime the tortoise trundled along, got into the river, swam to the opposite bank, continued walking and finished the race. The moral - "First identify your core competency and then change the playing field to suit your core competency."

THE STORY STILL HASN'T END HERE

The hare and the tortoise, by this time, had become pretty good friends and they did some thinking together.
Both realized that the last race could have been run much better. So they decided to do the last race again, but to run as a team this time. They started off, and this time the hare carried the tortoise till the riverbank. There, the tortoise took over and swam across with the hare on his back. On the opposite bank, the hare again carried the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together. They both felt a greater sense of satisfaction than they'd felt earlier. The moral - "It's good to be individually brilliant and to have strong core competencies; but unless you're able to work in a team and harness each other's core competencies, you'll always perform below par because there will always be situations at which you'll do poorly and someone else does well.

Teamwork is mainly about situational leadership, letting the person with the relevant core
competency for a situation take leadership. Note that neither the hare nor the tortoise gave up after failures. The hare decided to work harder and put in more effort after his failure. The tortoise changed his strategy because he was already working as hard as he could."

In life, when faced with failure, sometimes it is appropriate to work harder and put in more effort. Sometimes it is appropriate to change strategy and try something different. And sometimes it is appropriate to do both. The hare and the tortoise also learnt another vital lesson. When we stop competing against a rival and instead start competing against the situation, we perform far better.

To sum up- the story of the hare and tortoise has much to say: Chief among them are that fast and consistent will always beat slow and steady;work to your competencies; pooling resources and working as a team will always beat individual performers; never give up when faced with failure; & finally, compete against the situation - not against a rival.

cheers~
