KNS
Friday, August 29, 2008, 8/29/2008 03:47:00 PM

KNS

Wa. KNS. The Hong Kong trip that I planned, I saw the price for the Hotel wrongly. I thought the price that they stat is in HK dollar but it is actually in Singapore currency. So it would be around $220 for 3 night and the total trip would be $400. One more bad news is that I just found out that the airport taxes and other surcharge is quite expensive. Total cost for the flight would be $300 eh!!! Think I will have to find alternatives and do more research for the trip liao. Also hope there's good news from Faezah!!

Tonight gonna go for the night cycling recce trip. It still in the chinese calender 7th month eh!! Hope can see something yo....

I mean pretty girls eh...(censored to SY=DD) Don't anyhow think ar. LOL

OK. Actually I really hope to get a chance to see those stuff... Cause only when I see it with my own eyes than I will really believe it. Of course, I hope that when I saw it that time, I am with a group of my friends. If i'm the one cycling alone on the road and I saw one, I think I will fall off from my bicycle...

And I will get up and shout "EH you no eye to see one ar??" And later they really don't have any eyes...

Anyone want to go to AC CAMP in Sisters Island on the 12th to 15th Sept???? If you go, you will pass your exams. If you go, you will be rich in the future. So if you want to pass your exam and be rich in the future, why wait?? Contact me at ac_ricky@yahoo.com.sg if you want a rich future and pass ur exam!!

5day 4night trip to Macau and Hong Kong
Thursday, August 28, 2008, 8/28/2008 04:21:00 PM

5day 4night trip to Macau and Hong Kong

I have done some research on the internet regarding my dream trip!! This time really got action OK!! And here are my plan for it.

I have proposed a date for for the trip on the 18 of March 2009. Yaya. I know it is still 6 months away but it is better to plan early than late right??

The trip would be a 5Day 4Night backpacking trip to Macau and Hong Kong. So here are the budget and transport guide which I have drafted out. Because we are not that rich, so we will fly on budget airline and sleep in a 3STAR hotel.

18 March 2009- Depart from Singapore to Macau by Tiger airway in the morning at 6am. We will probably reach there at around 10am. We will book into our hotel, Grand View and have fun in Macau till the next morning. The cost for the airway will be S$40 excluding Airport tax and other charges. The cost for our stay in Grand View will be S$50 per pax for a double room.

19March 2009- We will check out of our hotel in the morning at around 8am and have our breakfast before departing to Hong Kong by ferry. The ferry trip to Hong Kong will take 60-75mins. We will book into our 3 STAR Hotel- Newton Inn and proceed to explore HongKong. The cost for the ferry would be around S$20. And the 3night stay at Newton Inn would be S$142 per pax for the 3 night.

20-21 March 2009- Exploring Hong Kong

22March 2009- We will book out from our hotel in the morning at around 9am and have our last day enjoying in Hong Kong before takin the ferry from Hong Kong back to Macau at around 7pm. We will than take the flight from Macau back to Singapore by Tiger airway at 9.05pm and will reach Singapore at around 1230am. The airfare from Macau to Singapore will be around S$40 excluding airport tax and other charges. The ferry ride from Hong Kong back to Macau would be S$20.

So basically, for the 5Day 4Night trip would be:
Singapore- Macau- Hong Kong-Macau-Singapore

And the total cost would be:

2 way Air ticket from Singapore to Macau by Tiger Airway- S$80(excluding airport tax and other charges)

1night stay in Macau hotel,Grand View- S$50 dollar per pax for a double room.

2way ferry ride from Macau and Hong Kong- S$40

3 night stay in Hong Kong hotel, Newton Inn- S$142 dollar per pax for a triple room.

So total cost would be $312 dollar excluding airport taxes and other charges!! If including airport tax and other charges, the most it will cost is $420!! Much more cheaper than the free and easy tour packages which I saw in the internet which cost around S$600++!! Woot~!!! Gonna jio people go already.

If everything goes well, I will have to collect payment in December.

Who want to go???
I'm getting excited about the trip already =DD

Cheers~

HOLIDAY??
Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 8/27/2008 01:09:00 AM

HOLIDAY??

I want to go holiday. I want to go holiday. I want to go holiday. I want to go holiday. I want to go holiday. I want to go on a holiday. I want to go on a holiday. I want to go on a holiday. I want to go on a holiday. I want to go on a holiday. I want to go on a holiday. I seriously want to go on a holiday. I seriously want to go on a holiday. I seriously want to go on a holiday. I seriously want to go on a holiday. I seriously want to go on a holiday. I really and seriously want to go on a holiday. I really and seriously want to go on a holiday. I really and seriously want to go on a holiday. I really and seriously want to go on a holiday. I really really seriously want to go on a holiday. really really seriously want to go on a holiday. I really really seriously want to go on a holiday. really really seriously want to go on a holiday. really really seriously want to go on a holiday.

HAHA!!

All talk but no action. I mean I really want to go on a holiday with friends but I don't have that "spark" yet to make me plan a trip.

OkOk. I should seriously sit down and plan a short getaway from Singapore. Anyone interested?? Believe me, I am damn serious this time round. I don't want to be kept bothering by my naughty little brain who keep telling me "Eh, Go holiday leh. Go holiday leh." Whenever I walk past a travel agency, my brain will ask my leg to stop even though I don't want it to. But my leg always listen to my brain because he also want to go on a holiday. Than my brain will ask my hand to take those pamflets which give you information about the different packageS and destination even though I don't want it to. But my hands always listen to my brain because he also want to go. OKOK. I admit. Basically, my whole body including myself WANTS to go on a holiday!! My naughty little body and I... HAHA.

OK. So now. Where should I plan to go??

Maylaysia, A 5D 4N to Penang + K.Lumpur + Genting by coach which cost around $300?

or

Thailand, A 3D 2N Phuket Free & Easy tour which cost around $250?

or

Thailand, a 3D 2N Bangkok Free & Easy which cost around $300?

or

China, 5D 4N Hong Kong & ShenZhen which cost around $500?

or

China, 5D Shanghai tour which cost around $600?

or

A trip to taiwan which cost around $800?

I have alot of places in my mind that I want to go... Kuala Lumpur, Genting, Phuket, Bangkok, Hong Kong, BeiJing, ShangHai, Taiwan...

If I have the budget, I would want to go to China or Taiwan. If I have no budget, I would want to go to Thailand. If i'm poor, I would want to at least go to Malaysia... Hmm... Maybe I should be like those people from Sunshine Empire, they sell wierd shape paperclip... I will cut newspaper into different shape and sell to raise money for my trip!! Good idea right?!? At least mine is more pratical ok!!! U buy from me 1 piece for $10 can at least wipe your backside after you shit rather than those paperclips which is of no use eh. Somemore, my newspaper can make your backside feel like emperor backside eh...

HAHA. OK. Back to seriousness. All those prices from the above are packages from travel agency. But, I want to make my holiday a free and easy one. Meaning you book the air ticket and hotel room yourself. You plan the programme for yourself. Everything by yourself. Like that than I will feel the sense of satisfaction because it is the 1st time that I planned for a holiday!! If it is successful, I can even dream of opening a travel agency!! Ya. Dream only... And I also hope that if you plan everything by yourself, it will be much more cheaper and funner...

Also, I would want a trip that is at least 4day long. I am sick of a 3day trip liao. Everytime the 1st day you reach your destination, you enjoy... Than on the second day, you wake up in your hotel room, you will feel abit of sadness because you will think that "HUH!! Tomorrow going back to Singapore liao. So fast..."So it's like dampening your second day eh...

So those holiday enthust friends, if you are interested in going on a at least 4days free and easy holiday with me, do tell me ok with also your preferred destination so that I can seriously plan a trip and know where to go. The trip will probably be between December to March(If I have nothing on =D). And seriously, i'm serious this time round!!

Cheers~

I Hate Multi Level Marketing
Sunday, August 24, 2008, 8/24/2008 03:05:00 AM

I Hate Multi Level Marketing

I just went through this forum. There was this forum guy call "The Davis" and he was approach by some youngster selling paperclips who claimed to be part of an "entrepreneur game" where they have to collect $60 or more to win. And slowly, the scam is unveiled and even the youngster photos were being uploaded onto the forum. What make it interesting is that... Some of the youngster is from Temasek Polytechnic!! I even know one of the guy... Jia Lat. I won't post the link out as it is not too good for them... To know about the whole story, continue to read...

This is what "The Davis" posted:

Part 1:Around 8pm i went to hougang mall... then just when i was about to go home, i saw this couple being approached by this kid

Flash back to 3 weeks back, it was sort of like a deja vu scene:when i was at kovan mrt (outside heartland mall), i was approached by this kid who claimed to be part of some kind of "entrepreneur game" and have to collect $60? or more in order to win? i don't know

I asked him for the coy name then, but he tried to skirt the question and then produced this paper clip, and ask me for $10 (saying what people have gave him $10, even more).

i say dun have, so he say $5, $2 also can. i dug at my wallet but i was not willing to fork out $2 for it, so i ask him for $1 change.

Ok, but today seeing the same scene, I walked forward to try to "listen in". About 2 meters from the couple, this guy approached me. He began with the exact same lines...

so i raised my voiced and confronted him there and then. I asked for the company name/organisation name, what was this course they were talking about and why this game need to take so long

To that, he replied that the game was continuous..., and the company was a consortium of groups. [Now I know why liao...], called simi "Private Training Hub". Of course i doubted the existence of such a generic coy name... So i asked for the manager name...

He gave me this guy's number (his manager i presume), but cannot contact him, so I continue to grill the same guy. (and got his phone number). I retorted that being in this course/coy whatever sh!t, shouldn't he at least know something about the coy?

but he gave this excuse that he just joined 2 weeks back, and blah blah blah some crap. So I asserted that what they were doing is tantamount to cheating. The guy who was talking to the couple said that they were not in the know at all (ya right, who would believe now). of course by then the couple's attention were already diverted, the couple ran away after that (my confrontation with the two guys).

oh, before that they even compared themselves to tissue sellers. saying they also got no license, same as them. so i say, why not I call mata on the spot...

i was suprised he readily accepted the challenge. So i wanted to give them chance... so just give them verbal warning first.. after finding out how many of them were around

Part 2:so i walked across to hougang interchange, on the opposite side of the road. initially i wanted to take bus go home liao. but i was getting infuriated that there are these potential cheats out there while people were performing on tv to get donations

so i approached the passenger service counter at the bus interchange. but no, they don't want to handle even though it's just outside their premises. they say, "we cannot interfere, you want can call police"

so i call mata lor. "Hello police ah? got ginna soliciting money from public without license at hougang mrt outside oub" around 10 minutes later i saw them (the kids) running across to the interchange. (I assume they saw mata)

They ran like the wind haha. I walked forward to confront two of those crossing the road. Of course they tried to shake me off, giving lame excuse say got what meeting and all those crap. But i persist and continue to grill this first guy previously and ask what school he from, simi course.

oh mean while the other 4 people hanging around eddypsp shop. After lecturing them further, the two guys joined up with the other 4 and were like waiting for me to board my bus...

A post by Gorgorsitioeh:

the following pix are screenshots taken frm the blogs of the members. i believe most of the blogs have been shut down as of this moment. the screenshots of the blogs highlight some of the activities they have taken part in as part of an 'entrepreneurial course' organised by sunshine empire, and in addition it probably highlights the basic fact that the money they have earned through paper-clip selling is used to finance their holidays, not for passing their school courses as they have claimed to those pple who have bought the heart shaped paper clips frm them. an example of the paper-clip is shown here

And they really go and dig out all the youngster info eh...

A blog post by one of the youngster in his blog:

life's indeed full of ups and downs..i still remember last week i just broke my personal high in sg once again..from 162 to 224..that was like 60 bucks swing?oh my!but days after that results has been very down..not gonna let tis happen again..coz i am still $900 away from my macau+hk trip expenses..damn!gotta fight hard..hopefully my dad will pass mi the money soon enough before the deadline..coz i take a long time to persuade my dad to buy a sm..that is a bonus to mi..lucky to hv such supportive parents..but i would prefer them helping mi in looking for potential prospects coz my market has long dried up..but anyway tis will no doubt help mi in short term..long term wise..i tink i hv to depend on myself..4 aggressor members had already qualified for the macau trip..and there are 6 spaces left..nevertheless i want to be one of the 6..and tis will happen..coz i am visualising wats gonna happen in macau..lolx..cya guys there on the 15th june..i wanna see and the 7 heroes in macau..as well as those who realli put in effort for the trip..i can see it..and i believe u guys will be there as well..even if i lose everything,i will nv lose u guys..guys 3 days more..let fight hard for tis 3 days..and rest in macau!whahahha!!

Think you all almost got the whole story already...

Their company-Sunshine Empire is actually a Multi Level Marketing company. And they have to sell the paperclips and hit a target before they can go for the holiday trip... Damn Kuku can. I seriously don't have any good impression of Multi Level Marketing company as I too, was a victim some years back. Here's my Kuku experience:

I was looking for a job at that time and if i'm not wrong, I put my MSN display name as "Any job to recommend??". After a few days, a "friend" of mine whom I have not been in contact with him for around 2 or 3 years message me on msn and ask me whether I'm looking for job. Than he said that he got lobang and ask me meet him. Than I ask him what job is it but he won't give me a direct answer and just ask me to meet him and I will know. What's weird is that we have not been talking for years and he suddenly talk to me...

So, in desperation for job, I met him the next day and he brought me to this company at Dorby Ghaut. Once I went in and sat down, they start to explain to me alot of thing about franchise, how much is it cost, about millionaire, about how much their boss earn now etc. Trying to WOW you... Than their actual intention came. They asked me to join their organization and if I do work hard, I will also earn big money.

How you can earn money is that once you join them, you will sell their products and get commision from there. And if you want to earn money at a very faster rate, you will have to find 2 friends to join the organization and ask them to sell the company products and you earn commision through yourself and also your 2 friends. And if your two friends introduce another 2 friends each, you can also earn commision from them and the chain goes on. So basically it means that if there are more and more people under you, your commision will grow higher and faster.

However, before joining their organization, I will have to pay a membership fee and there are 2 kind of membership, the Gold member and the Silver member. Whats the different between them is that for gold, you can have more "spaces" to introduce more friend... Like example instead of 2 friends under you, you can have 4 friends...

And at that point of time, I was reluctant to join but very pai seh to reject because the person really talk alot of cock to me. Somemore, the eye of my "friends" look pressurizing and thus I decided to join but will find another time to run away. So I lied to them that I don't have money to pay now and I will pay them at a later time and so they agreed. And when I thought that things were over, they started to teach me how to get friends to join the organization. Damn KuKu can. Ths is the rule that they say to get your friends out:

Rule #1- Never reveal the company location

Rule #2- Just tell your friend that you just want to meet out with him and discuss something, never reveal your actual purpose.

Rule #3- After you have met your friend, just tell him that you are bringing him to a place but don't ever reveal the place(company) that you want to bring him to.

See. This is how my friend lead me to the trap. Damn Fucker!!!!!!

I was really shock at that time because they wanted me to write down all my friends name and contact number and ask me to REALLY call my friends. I can't even cheat as they will be looking at me while I call... So I have no choice but to call my most trusted friend Ler, and so I just talk cock to him and did what the company told me etc...

And finally, i'm able to leave that shitty place and guess what is the 1st thing that I do??? I called Ler and told him about everything and ask him not to believe a word that I said just now... Waste my F#@^^& time, my transport, my mood that day...

The next day, my "friend" called me and I just directly told him that i'm not interested in that thing anymore, and he still have the cheek to ask me out to discuss about it again... And after that, we didn't got into contact again. Damn fuck can!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I think Multi Level Marketing will really make you lose alot of friends. People will stay away from you as people doesn't want to get pressurized by you to buy your products. And I think I succumb to pressure to join the orgazination at that time because I am still a boy, not yet a man.

If anyone were to ask me to join into this assy kuku nehneh putput thingy again, the first thing I will do is not to give any faces and say NO straight away. I will take a durian and stuff it right through the person arse and make him feel nothing whenever he shit, make his shit just automatically flow our from his anus!!! I have learned my lesson and will succumb to pressure anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, i'm not saying that all MLM is bad, but currently, every MLM that I ALMOST encounter does not give me a good impression.

Cheers~

Colour Test

Colour Test

Try this colour personality test. Basically, what you hava to do is choose the colour that you want and like and paint it to the object given.

http://vn247.net/flash/Color-and-Me.htm

Ricky's Result

House- You have a strong personality that likes to take risks if the rewards are worth it. You don't like being told what to do and prefer to take matters into your own hands.

Shirt- Preferring a more casual appearance, you are more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt than in a suit. You don't like over dressing for any occasion, although you never look scruffy.

Rose- You are aggressive in business, but tend to take the backseat when it comes to your personal life. You are more comfortable talking about work than relationships.

Car- You are a very practical person. It's more important to you that the things you own are useful, rather than nice to look at.

Handphone- A good listener. You are comfortable allowing others to take the spotlight and share their adventures. You are protective about your friendship and ensure the best for your friends.

BearBear- You are a no-nonsense, practical person. You make sure that you are there when your friends need you, and like to solve their problems for them.

Hmmm... Is it true??

Can't say what colour I choose for each object or else later you all try not zhun already. Enjoy the test =D

WONDER OF GOD
Friday, August 22, 2008, 8/22/2008 01:21:00 AM

WONDER OF GOD

Found this short story in the webby. Find it quite interesting so would like to share.

On the very first day of the world, God created the cow. He said to the cow:

"Ah Gu (cow), today I have created you! Your job is to go to the field with the farmer all day long. You will provide the energy to pull things! You will also provide milk for people to drink! You are to work all day under the sun. In return, you will eat only grass. For that you have a lifespan of 50 years."

Ah Gu objected."WA LAO!? I work all day under the sun and I can only eat grass? On top of that I have to give my milk away!? This is tough and you want me to live 50 years!? I'll take 20 and you can have the remaining 50 years back." God agreed.

The next day, God created the dog. He said to the dog.

"Ah Kow (dog), I have created you for a purpose. You are to sit all day by the door of your master's house. If anyone come in, you are to bark at them! In return, you will eat your master's leftover. I give you a lifespan of 20 years."

Ah Kow objected. "SIAO!? I have to sit at the door all day and bark at people, and i can only eat leftovers? This isn't right... I'll take 10 years and you can have the remaining 10 years back." God agreed again.

On the third day, God created the monkey. He said to the monkey.

"Lao Kao (monkey), your job is to entertain people. You will make them laugh, act stupid and make faces. You will also do somersaults and swing on trees to amaze them. In return, you will only eat bananas and peanuts. For that, I will give you 20 years."

Naturally the monkey objected."HUH!? I got to make faces and make people laugh? I still have to climb trees and do somersaults? Tell you what... I'll take 10 years, you can have the remaining 10 years back." God agreed again.

On the fourth day, God created human. God said to the human.

"You are my best piece of work. For that you will only have to sleep, eat and play, sleep, eat and play and do nothing else. You will eat all the best things and play all the best toys. All you need to do is to enjoy life, and for this, I give you 20 years."

Just like the rest, human objected."WA LAO EH? I only have to relax and enjoy the best in life and I only have 20 years?Tell you what. You got back 30 years from Ah Gu, 10 years from Ah Kow and 10 years from Lao Kao and you probably don't know what to do with all these lives. Why not I take all of them and have 70 years to live?"

Being a kind God, naturally He agreed... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

AND THAT IS WHY

We eat, sleep, play and enjoy the first 20 years of our lives when growing up.
Work for the next 30 years to raise the family.

Sit outside the door and bark at people for the next 10 years of our life when retired.
And finally make faces and perform monkey tricks to entertain our grandchildren for the final 10 years of our lives.

THE END

HaHA!! TrueTrue. I think the human damn stupid lo, since god is so kind and he will agree to anything, why don't he straight away request to take up the position of god right? Or else now all of us is god already...

Woo~ I'm having fun with Paint man. All the picture above I manage to use Paint to draw eh. PRO right!?! HAHA. Although it is time consuming, but it is damn interesting. But but limited colour in Paint eh.

Show you the actual photo which I got from yahoo! image.

Woot!! I can be a Painter already!!

I have decided to quit my current part-time job on the 21st September. Gonna find work that does not have any "string attached". For example, like they have events on this date to this date and you just have to work for that particular days. And that is what flexible is.
TCC change new menu already. All the prices increase liao lo!! Want to eat eh but expensive. But some of the new food think quite nice, need to find time to go try.

Upcoming events for Ricky:

Pulau Ubin Night Cycling Recce- 29-30th Aug

SMRT Challenge Race- 31st Aug

Pulau Ubin Night Cycling- 5-6th Sept

Adventure Camp in Sisters Island- 12-15th Sept

Newspaper view

Congrats to Singapore for winning the Silver medal in Olympic Woman Table Tennis Team!! You all have done us proud!!

Article 1

Was in AC room with Dinesh, WeiZhen and Kama and we were reading newspaper and came across this artical about Russia attacking Georgia. So we was debating on Quality vs Quantity. Quality in terms of the capability and ability of the army and quantity in terms of the number of the army. So basically, we were debating whether a small army with the bettest brain or a big army with lousier brain will win if they fight agains each other.

From my point of views, I feel that a small army with the bettest brain will win. Why? Because:

1) A better brain will know how to make use of its limited resources. Just like even if you are the wealthiest country but u doesn't know how to use it, you are still useless and your country can't grow.

2) A better brain will have better technology and thus, their tanks, guns, armour, ship and aircraft will be better equipped. This will in turn increase the "life" of the army and make them stronger. Like a better equipped tank is equivalent 10 lousy tank.

3) A better brain will have better coordination skills.. Whatsmore, the army is smaller and it is easier to coordinate and thus, will maximise the potential of the army.

4) A better brain will have better strategy against its enemy. They know when to attack or when to retreat. When to rest and when to run. They know how to utilise the surrounding environment to their advantage. This will reduce the risk of being killed.

Imagine Country A with 300,000 strong army but without brain fight against 30,000 army who have the brain and ability. Who will win? I seriously think brain is more important than number. If Singapore, with a small army but technological army and great leaders against erm I****?? Who will win??

OK. Enough of fighting. Just hope that peace can restore in Georgia.

Artical 2

Than, there's another article that say "what do you hope to see in Singapore after 20years?"

One of the funniest answer that I saw is "to have a bomb on every taxi drivers brain so that if they were to went into hidding during peak hour, their anxiety of kena caught will silently set off the bomb and killed the taxi driver, leaving the taxi intact for better taxi driver to drive in..." HAHA.

So what do I hope for??

1) Hope to see ERP on every small, medium, big road of Singapore but none of them are working but only for decoration.

2) GST to increase to a whopping 50% but pay increase to an unbelievable 100%.

3) Ever Singaporean to say "Arhlow, how are you ar? Today wherther beri hot hor. Haf you eaten ler ma? Haven ar? Don't like that leh. Treat me eat la. Ive don't want next time dont call me liao lo." Ya. That's what make Singapore a unique country because of the "ar"," hor", "ma", "leh", "lo" and "la", SINGLISH!!

4) To have a fine that say "Fine $100000 for the lack of space in bus and train".

5) Have a rule that says "Singaporean who think that they can't live past 85years old can apply for the DES-"Dieing Early Scheme" so that you can continue to collect your CPF after you are nearing 70 years old.

6) A campaign to increse the birth rate of Singapore that says " 1 only no money, 2 only abit money, 3 only got money, 4 only more money..., 10 only millionaire..., 25 only billionaire, 30 only trillionaire, sow(female pig) and you are aire-pork"

48 Years Of Waiting Is Over
Saturday, August 16, 2008, 8/16/2008 06:45:00 AM

48 Years Of Waiting Is Over

Finally!! Singapore is going to win its first olympic medal after 48years by getting into the final of the Table Tennis Women's team event!! They get in by beating south Korea and this gurantee them at least a silver medal!! This is the first time in 48years that Singapore flag is going to fly during the meda award ceremony!
I'm so happy for Singapore man!! It didn's waste my 2hr plus watching the match that is shown live on Channel 5. After my presentation, I just chiong to SY=DD house to watch the match. Miss the 1st 2 game where Korean won 1 match and Singapore won 1 match, so its a tie. In women's team event, there are a total of 5 matches an it is a race to 3 match where teams have to win 3 matches.

I swear that this is the most intense and exciting match that I ever watch. It is more exciting than ManUTD vs Chelsea in the Champion Leagues and more exciting than taking a roller coaster ride. While watching, I was damn... Everytime when you see Singapore score, your heart will lift up but when you see South Korea score, your heart will sink. My hand was like sweating lo. And the match is like point for point between Singapore and Koreas and things may change in a split seconds. Damn interesting. Usually a match will only take less than 1 and a half hour, but it take more than 3 hour for the game to finish eh, this shows you how intense the game was.
I even watch till i'm late for AC meeting eh. SY=DD Daddy have to long pang me back to school. Haha. PaiSeh eh.
Congrats to Team Singapore once again!!!! You all are in great pressure to deliver for Singapore, and you have withstand it and thats a true Olympian!! Congrats to Li Jia Wei, Wang YueGu, Feng TiaWeiYou. You all have made Singaporean proud!
They are going to compete for the gold medal which will be on Sunday against an invincible China. However, even an invincible people has it weakness... So watch out=D
Alot of people has been saying that, "why so happy? In the first place they are all from China ma. So Singapore is like buying glory." However, I would like to say that we should treat them equally as a Singaporean rather than a "Singaporean foriegner".
1st reason: They hold a pink IC like us and a red Passport
2nd reason: They give up on their homeland and come to Singapore and settledown. If we were to say that they are a "Singaporean foriegner", than aren't we ourself is an example? Our forefather also came from China and India. So are we saying that we are the sons of China and India??
3rd reason: They truely are loyal to Singapore. That is what Li JiaWei trying to prove to all Singaporean by volunteering to carry our national flag during the marching out segment in the opening ceremony.

So give everyone a chance =l

Shedding the joy of tears

"I'm so happy that I want to become a Koala Bear!!"

Feng TianWei: "Oi!! ME ME ME!! I know the answer!! Let me answer the question!!"

Korea at the back: "Wa lao eh. So Kiasu..."

Congrats once again to WangYue Gu, Feng TianWei and Li Jia Wei

and lastly, some interesting coincidence is that the coach in the picture is actually the brother of China Table Tennis coach. So look out on Sunday.

Cheers~

National Day
Monday, August 11, 2008, 8/11/2008 11:49:00 AM

National Day

I spent National Day by going down to SunTec Convention hall with SY=DD, WeiZhen, Faezah, Jeremy, Ben and Coryn as SY=DD and SY=DD friends-Kiki is there for the cosplay. Woot~ Their Costume is nice. And I saw one of my favourite Anime-Naruto character Kakashi. Whao. The hair damn cool can. But I think "he" is a girl because I can see the shape under "his" shirt. =DD

After that we decided to go for the NTUC biggest human flag thingy which is held at Padang. But when we reach there, we realise that we need tickets to get in. Thus we stayed at the back of the Padang to picnic but then it starts drizzing, thus we move to the side of the road under the tree and watch the live telecast of NDP through the screen. This year what I like most is the air display man. Damn exciting and cool can. They look like they want to lan ga but didnt lan ga. And they even create a giant heart shape in the sky!! Nice Nice. After watching the fireworks, we went for our dinner in Long John Silver and trained home.

Pissed with my job

I'm damned pissed with my TCC part-time job man. This is what happened:

Last Saturday(2nd Aug), I went for the food training and as I took a 1 month break for work, my manager ask me whether can I provide 1 day for next week not. So I say ok, I will give her Sunday(10th Aug). And so, yesterday I go work, she tell me why I MIA for work on Sunday(3rd August). She called me alot of time but I didn't answer the call or what. Hello, I was kayaking at that time, so do you want my handphone to swim in the water?? Than I saw the miss call and as I don't recognise it, I didnt bother much. Than I say I thought the Sunday which I meant is the 10th of August instead of the 3rd of August?? Where got people next week means the next day one right?? So I argued with her than she say this line, "ask you work you MIA, ask you come for food training also never come". As the 3rd August also have another food training. Than she say "if you never come for food training, than it is your responsible to ask around for the details of the food. Next week i'm going to test you on the new food, if you cannot pass, I will hold your pay till you pass". I was like WTF!! Abit buay song already but cannot do anything cause still not that angry. Only when people really really pissed you off till you cannot tahan than you will not care about anything and shoot back. So I tahan and continue working. After that, I heard from someone that under Ministry of Manpower rule, the employer cannot hold your pay for more than 2 weeks. Haha. Maybe can use that to shoot her.

I think this job is damn kuku can. It's like you are hold to ransom by the management. one of the example is when your gave your schedule like you can't work on probably Saturday, but they are in need of people on that day so they continue to put you on Saturday. Than when you realise it and you explain to them that you really can't work on that day, you kena scolded. Like What The Fuck right?? Its like you got scold for something that you are not responsible for but kena scolded because of something she herself is responsible for... (this doesn't happen in me, taking from an account of my collegue).

I think the system over there make you work only for the money. It doesn't make you work for the passion of it. Althought the people over there is nice, it is only the way that they manage the people that is damn kuku. Think i'm gonna quit soon.

Congrats to Tao Li

Whao. Tao Li is in the finals of the 100m Butterfly events for swimming in the olympic. Although she gets 5th for it, she break the Asian Record and also, she is the 1st Singapore swimmer to get into an Olympic swimming event final!! Good Job. May you train harder and get Singapore an Olympic medal in 4 years to come.

Cheers~

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE
Saturday, August 09, 2008, 8/09/2008 01:39:00 AM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!! HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY!!

I really really love this small island which I called home. She gave me a safe home to stay where there are low crime rate and no natural disaster. She gave me a wonderful life where all my friends and family are. She provide me with the best education that I can ask for. I am proud that she has one of the best airport in the world, one of the best seaport in the world and one of the best airline in the world. I am proud of her achievements. From a small fishing village to having tall tall building. From nothing to one of the world richest country. And I love Singapore with all my heart!! I will stay loyal with Singapore and fight for her when there is a war. Long Live Singapore!! =DD

I don't know why I love Singapore so much. Maybe because it is a place where I belong, where I keep my heart and soul... Haha. Sound familiar? I really really really love Singapore and I don't understand why some people have the thought of giving up Singapore Citizenship. I mean why give up on such a wonderful city? Singapore may not have a long history like US or China, but Singapore is only 43 years old leh. We may not have a government that ALL of its people like but they are efficient and have good brains in running the country. A lot of people has been complaining about freedom in Singapore but we may not be the most freedom country in the world but this has make Singapore into a very healthy and safe country. Would you want a country like the US where it is a very free country where guns are availiable and you have to fear for your life when walking out in the street at night? We are a multi racial country where all races are equally treated and you can see mosque, temple and churches in Singapore. Unlike some other countries where some religious are banned. This is what make Singapore unique. We may be a very competitve country where we need to work even till our old ages unlike some other countries where people retire and could depend on the government. However, this will not make us into a "lazy" country where we will only ask for more instead of working for ourself.

After writing so much good things about Singapore, I would like to clarify that i'm not a "friend" of PAP. We may not like some of the rules and regulation that PAP introduce like the increase of ERP etc but why we still choose them as our government?? Because because because they have provide us with a good place to live, work and study in, thats why we have faith in them in running the country.

And I really really LOVE SINGAPORE!! =DD

Just watch the Olympic Ceremony. WOW!! The firework was damn nice can?? Its like the firework was not only around the "Bird Nest" Stadium but it seems like everywhere of BeiJing, there are fireworks!! And the most beautiful fireworks are the one where it has the shape of "Buddha Leg" and it is like walking in the air towards the stadium. Wow Wow Wow!! Haha. Hope Singapore can bring back an olympic medal this time.

Lastly, Happy 43rd Birthday Singapore once again!!

Cheers~

fun, interesting and carefree
Thursday, August 07, 2008, 8/07/2008 12:33:00 AM

fun, interesting and carefree

I can't help it but I love TODAY!! TODAY TODAY TODAY!!!

Met up with WeiZhen, Dorothy and HuiShan and we went to watch The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Yes. This is the second time i'm watching it. It is not that the movie is very nice or what but I just accompany them to watch cause they haven't watch. And what's more I didn't pay for it!! =DD Thanks yo =D I just realise that this time round, there are more parts that are funny. Maybe because the first time I watch with SY=DD that's why got many many distraction. HeeHee.

After movie, went to play arcade. As I have apply for the NEBO card previously, they gave us vouchers and one of the voucher is "Top-Up $10 and get additional $10". So very worth it. Than we went to play my favourite basketball and also Daytona, not forgetting the mini basketball. And And we found a way to play cheat for the mini basketball as the height is quite low!! What you need is only an A4 size paper and most importantly, LONG HANDS. So how you play cheat?? For you to explore and for me to know. =D Secret eh.

Than than we went to play the machine where you scope the sweet onto the pusher thingy. Initially we just want to play and get a few sweet. We just spent around $20 and we hit JackPot and alot of sweets!! Some people need to take 100dollar plus just to win jackpot eh. And And this is what we w0n:

Reasons why we choose this prize:

1) The function is better than other prizes as this one can put tissue paper box in it(others are soft toy for hugging only).

2) When you are angry, you can grap the head of the banana and go and whack everyone around you, or maybe even yourself.

3) If you feel sad, you can talk to the banana and she will shed tears for you. So you know that you are not alone.

4)If you think that your chairs are too hard that make your buttock painful, you can put it on your chair and act as a butt cushioner.

5)If you need someone to hug when you sleep, this one can be a substitute.

6) When you feel that you need some exercise, this one can be your punching bag.

7) If you feel like sneezing, this one can be your handkerchief.

8) Lastly, if you can't find tissue paper while you are shitting, this one can be use to wipe your a******.

Multi Purpose EH!!

OK. Some people may say "wa, why so stupid. Waste 20dollar just to win some sweets". But but it is really addictive eh. And you get really excited when you see the sweets being scope up and drop onto the pusher, and the sweet slower push down to the gate and you will really feel the sense of satisfaction!! Must try to go play the next time.

Just hope that everyday can be so fun, interesting and carefree!!

I am really reaLLY REALLY excited that olympic is coming and also National Day!!!!!!!!!

Cheers~

I WANT GUITAR
Monday, August 04, 2008, 8/04/2008 11:58:00 PM

I WANT GUITAR

Finally, I saw some progress in my Major Project.

Went down to Little India where my SIP is and and we stayed there to do our projects from 3pm to 8pm!! It has since been such a long time that I was so hardworking!! I am very serious. I feel that my life has been very empty since I started my SIP and MP. I have been very very slack because my SIP boss was very slack and my project mates are also very slack. So we are like having the slackest SIP ever. But don't envy me yet. It really felt very weird. It's like there's a commitment over there but you don't have to do anything about it. But you don't know whether you can get a result that you desire... I don't like the feeling of somwhere here nor there...

I really hope that time could go back... So that I can choose a better SIP which I can really learn alot of things, gain some great experience.

BUT BUT BUT

I got more time for other things!!

Like eating, sleeping, Kayaking, AC, Ikariaming, Go Gai Gai, Watch Movie, read newspaper, daydreaming, cycling, sitting bathing, walking, enjoying etc. Basically, free to do what every normal human will do.

OK. I really want to lend a Guitar!! Who got guitar can lend me?? I want to learn eh!! Please Please Please. If you are kind enough and have a good heart, and you think that your guitar is wasting too much or your room space, please lend it to me ok? You will live till 1000 years old and will still have a strong leg, strong hand, strong brain and strong ehhem... Do lend me OK!! I promise you if one day I ever become the greatest guitarist in the world and I get an award during the 100th Singapore Musical Award, I will say "I would like to thank this person in my life. If not for him/her, I will not be standing here. I still remember when I was 20years old that time, that person saw my potential of being a great guitarist, and so he/she reluctantly lend me his/her guitar. Now, I have not let him/her down and the person is none other than "AH DOG"!!" And I will start to shed my tears when I read out your name to show you my greatest gratitude!! So please OK!! Lend me. I really have an urge to learn. =D

I really really really love Singapore!! Woot~ National Day is coming like in 4 days time?!? And And And Olympic is coming in 3days time!! Can't wait to see Singapore Athletes in action!! Told you I love Singapore already. Good Luck Singapore!

Cheers~

have you ever wonder
Sunday, August 03, 2008, 8/03/2008 02:57:00 AM

Have you ever wonder

Yea!!!! I watch 2 movie in a day!! The first movie was "The Mummy: Tomb of the dragon emperor" with SY=DD in Bugis and second was "Red Cliff" with Ler, Aw, Ren in Tampines Mall.

For "The Mummy", I would give a rating of 3.8/5. It was quite a nice movie with all the action and stuff. But one thing I don't understand is if now in this world, there is report that there are mummy alive, it would be a great deal to us right?? But in "The Mummy" hor, it is like very normal to the people leh. There is no news report or any army to fight the mummy. Just a few people chasing the mummy and use the "cursed" knife to kill the mummy. And the story is like the mummy is revive and he want to go to this place. So if he want to go to this place, he will have to go to this place than he know where is the place. So it's like a very normal plot. However, the graphic is nice and the action is nice. Still good to go and have a watch.

For "Red Cliff", I would give a rating of 4.8/5!!!! First time give a very high rating. OK. Seriously, I really like this movie alot and I intend to buy the VCD or the DVD when it is availiable. Worth the collection. Firstly, I think I like this movie because I am a fan of "Romance of the Three Kingdom". Secondly, it is just so exciting and nice with the plot. The director even use the intelligent of ZhuGe-Liang to make the audience laugh even though it is suppose to be a serious movie as it is all about war. And and and the movie is 2hr+ long so it is worth the money. For the 0.2 that I didn't give is because the fighting part may be abit too much that it may make you feel abit bored. . However, it is seriously a highly recommended movie and you will love it if you are a fan of "Lord Of The Ring"!! I can't wait for Part 2 to be out!! Part 2, please come out soon ok?? I will treat you eat sweet if you come out early.

Have you ever wonder, if transportation is not invented, how far and how long will we have to walk from Tampines to Jurong?

Have you ever wonder, if the world does not have any single war, what will the total Population of the world be now?

Have you ever wonder, if there are no god in this world, will there still be religion in the world?

Have you ever wonder, if there are no ghost in the world, will we still be hearing so many ghost stories?

Have you ever wonder, how does all those legends come from?

Have you ever wonder, is there egg first or is there chicken first?

Have you ever wonder, if the whole world money and assets are shared among the whole world population, would there still be poverty?

Have you ever wonder

Cheers~

Flash Mob
Saturday, August 02, 2008, 8/02/2008 01:59:00 AM

FLASH MOB

Today was a fun day except for working.

Haha. I work up early just for the Flash Mob thingy OK!! Or else I will just snooze in my dreamland where I was having a very exciting dream but I forgot what is it already(don't anyhow think bend bend ar). For those who don't know what is Flash Mob, you may go to youtube and find. So, today was the first time that we are doing this and we gave our 1st time to mushroom. Because it is a very last minute thingy, we only got around 10+ people doing it. So when the clock strike 12.15pm, everyone just freeze and point up to the sky for 10secs. Haha. It can said to be a small success. We did scare some people as we overheard them talking to their friend, "eh, why they point to the sky and never move ar? Scary eh..." Oh, maybe it because it's the 1st day of Hungry Ghost Festival, so it did increase the alertness of people, and thus people are more tense. Hope that the next time we are doing it, there will be more people joining.

After that, we meet up with our AC Advisor Terence who teach us how to make Vietnam popiah!! What is the difference between vietnam popiah and singapore popiah? Firstly, it is the spelling. Vietnam is spell as V-I-E-T-N-A-M while Singapore is spell as S-I-N-G-A-P-O-R-E. The second difference is that there are a lot of differences which I am lazy to type out. Lol. Maybe if you are interested you can go google it. Internet has vast information eh. Well, the taste was quite ok but I still prefer Singapore Popiah because for 1 simple reason... I love Singapore!!

Than after that went to work from 7pm-11pm. Luckily I still remember my food and drink knowledge.
Meet up with JianGuang, Faezah and HuiSan at Sempang Bedok after work to have supper. That sums up the end of my fun day. Why is it a fun day? Because everything that I do today is relaxing except for working.

Ok. Here is my next ghost stories. Not for people who has a heart that will faint.

So as I was saying from my previous post, my childhood's neighbour CQ did have an encounter in his secondary school. His CCA- NPCC, was having a camp in their secondary school. And at that night, he was folding the ground sheet halfway at the quadrangle when he suddenly saw something whitish flying pass quickly from around 15metres away from him. So of course, he sense something is amiss and he quicky pack up his stuff and go. So, after that, he and 3 of his NCC mate went to classroom to play poker cards as the classroom is where they are suppose to sleep. So they were sitting in a square position and CQ was facing the classroom side where the doors and windows are and also the corridor. So while they are playing, again, he saw a whitish thingy flying pass the corridor through the window. He cannot see clearly what it is as the thing flew pass quite fast. So after that, CQ told his friend about what he saw and while they were discussing it, they suddenly saw the thing float back again, but this time round in a slow pace. The "thing" was looking and staring at them, she was white faced with red lipstick and long hair. Look somewhat like pontianak. And she was like telling them, "Since you all want to see me, I shall let you all see me lo." So they start to panick and they stay in the classroom for around 10mins before they confirm that the thing is gond before looking for their teacher. They told the teacher what had happened and the teacher ask them to sleep in the staff room. The next day, he fall sick and he also went to look for those priest to get some "protection". I was there too and that is when he told me what happened.

THE END

Scared? No? RaRRR!! Scarded now??

Cheers~

Hungry Ghost Festival
Friday, August 01, 2008, 8/01/2008 01:16:00 AM

Hungry Ghost Festival

Are you scared?? Just to inform you guys that this entry may be a bit creepy. So if you are afraid, please continue to read on and be afraid after that.

It is the first day of the Hungry Ghost Festival. It is a popular occasion which is celebrated by us chinese and it falls on the 7th month of the Lunar New Year. We believe that during this month, the hell of gate will be opened for the ghost to wander in the human realms to seek food or revenge to those who have wronged them in their lives. So it means like a one month holiday to them ar. Better than us human leh. We only got 28days of off day a year and they got 1 whole month. However, we got sick leave, hospital leave, maternity leave and they don't have. Sadded. The reason why we chinese celebrate this occasion is to remember our dead family members and pay tribute to them. We also feel offering food to the dead people will appease them and ward off bad luck.

Another belief among the Chinese is that the dead return to visit their living relatives during the 7th month and thus we prepare a sumptuous meal for the ‘hungry ghosts'. We feel that we have to satisfy the ghosts in order to get good fortune and luck in our lives.
During the 7th month, the Chinese offer prayers to the deceased relatives and burn joss sticks. And we also have shows and concerts known as "Getai" or "Wayang" performed on outdoor stages in some neighborhoods which will be held at night. It is to entertain and please those wandering ghosts . Often the front row of seats are reserved for the dead to watch. So if you ever go and watch it, don't ever ever sit on the 1st row, or else you may angry the ghost as you may be too fat and sit on their lap and they can't withstand your weight.

We also burn paper money notes, which are also known as ‘hell money' and even paper television or radio sets to the dead. Some families also burn paper houses & cars to give to their dead relatives. We feel that these offerings reach the ghosts and help them live comfortably in their world. And another important thing is that if you want to burn a car to them, you must also burn petrol station to them. If you want to burn a house to them, you must remember to burn a power station so that the house will have lights. If yo want to burn a handphone for them, remember to burn a statalite ar. Or else later no signal cannot call.

Legend of Hungy Ghost Festival

Chinese legend has it that a long time ago, there lived a young man, Mu Lian and his widowed mother. His mother was a wicked woman. She often turned away beggars who came to her door asking for food. She liked to jeer at the working poor and their dirty clothes; in essence, the only person she cared about was herself.
Mu Lian on the other hand was a kind soul. He was a gentle person and always willing to help anybody who was in need. One day he decided to become a monk and this did not please his mother. She scowled at him for being such a useless son; she wanted him to go out and work to earn more money for her. Wealth and materialistic things meant more to her than anything else.
When she saw that she could not dissuade her son, a plan began to hatch in her mind. She decided to play a trick on the monks just to get back at them for taking away her son. Now it was the custom to offer food to the monks (this custom still exists to this very day), but only vegetarian food. Mu Lian’s mother thought that it was nonsensical that these monks did not eat meat, so one day she offered food to some monks and slipped in some non-vegetarian items.
According to one version of the story, the wicked woman was punished immediately and was sent to hell. Mu Lian wanted to save his mother’s soul because he knew her soul was suffering.
He set out and ventured deep into the bowels of hell. Soon he came upon his mother and he saw that she was sitting a bed of very sharp pointy stakes and was holding on to a basin of blood.
Mu Lian tried feeding her some food but the food would either turn into fire or blood. It was hopeless: he couldn’t do anything for her so he left. He returned home and started to pray.
It is said that Buddha heard Mu Lian’s prayers and was touched by Mu Lian’s compassion. Thus Buddha decreed that once a year, the gates of hell be opened so that the lost souls will be able to roam the earth and be fed. This is why every year on the seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar, the Chinese celebrate the festival of the hungry ghost. This is one of five major festivals in the Chinese culture. Food and drink will be offered at night outside the gates of houses. This is so that the ghosts do not enter their houses and cause trouble. A traditional food made for this festival is steamed sweet bread. Lanterns are lit to help guide the ghosts to the feasts set out for them. Special paper money is also burned as offerings to these ghosts so that they can take it back to hell and spend it there. To make sure that these souls stay out of trouble, entertainment is set up round the clock, mainly Chinese operas performed on outdoor stages.

What I know about some "Don'ts" during this month is that-

1) Don't go swimming. It is believe that "someone" might be under the water and pulling your leg while you are swimming.
2)Don't go home late. The thing might be following you or may posses you. If you are in the lift alone... They might be beside you.... Scared??
3)Don't kick or touch or step or sweep or eat the offering. Unless you are really hungry that you feel that you are going to be one of them anytime soon, don't ever go and kick or step onto the offering. Even for the wandering ashes. It is believe that some of the ghost may be eating the offering or picking up the paper money and when you do that, you might offend them.
4)Don't place your wedding date or business lunch during this month. Unless you want them to come and congratulate you, then go ahead with the plan.
5)Don't walk in the dark or near the walls. Ghost like to walk along the walls or hide in the corners. Unless you want to say "Hello' to them, then try to go to crowded places in the night.

OKAY. Since its the 7th month, let me say some ghost stories.

This story came from my childhood neighbour's father. And it was me who intiated to ask him as during that time, my childhood neighbour did encounter something supernatural in his school. I shall say his part during the next entry.

So I ask my childhood neighbour's father, "did you encounter anything before?" And here the story goes.

It happen during his National Service day. So they are going for a night march somewhere along Mandai road. So the whole platoon got ready and start marching. The place was dark but got the yellow street lamps on and beside them were those bushes and trees that you can't really see what is inside. So typically, they are marching on a straight two way road and their surrounding are just trees. So they start marching and marching and marching. Than, my neighbour's father saw something up ahead. Something is coming towards them. And when they get nearer and nearer, than guess what he saw? He saw another group of people are marching towards them. However, these people are wearing beige long sleeves and pants. With black boots and beige cap that come along with a hood. So what they saw is a platoon of World War ll japanese army marching towards them. And when they get closer and closer, what he notice is that some of them are headless. And some of their white faces expression are like stoning, looking forward. And the whole group just march pass each other. So he just acted like he didn't saw anything and just continue to march with his platoon. When they finish marching, he asked his platoon mate whether did they saw anything just now not. Some of them said that they did saw something and some of them didn't...

Cheers~
