aAventura RaceYesterday joined aAventura Race organise by SAFRA Yishun. Woke up at 6am!! Was suppose to meet Amberlyn at 4am and I was still awake at 3am coz Tampines kaki just went down to MeiMei house void deck to give Amberlyn a small surprise birthday party. Met Des and Jian at the playground at around 12am than we were like thief running to the void deck table where Amber and MeiMei were talking. Than Jian go cover Amber eye from the back and she was kinda shock. Lol. Than we sing Happy Birthday song for her. MeiMei brought her pumpkin cake and she also bring down wine from her house to drink. Than we stay there talk talk till around 215am than we went home. I reach home at aroun 230am. Than thought that need to to meet at Amber at 4am so scared later cant wake up if fall asleep. So decided not to sleep. Around 3am, decided to close my eyes for 60secs before going to take a bath. But who knows that when i count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... till 20, i suddenly fall asleep. Than I heard someone knocking on my window shouting "Ricky, now 6am already still sleeping!!" Oh, it was Kian Aik. Got a shock because the registration for the race is 530am. Quickly went to toilet, take a bath. Oh ya, when taking bath, Kian Aik shout from outside the toilet window "Wah. Late already still bath" and I was like WTH, bathing take like how many seconds only? Somemore I was like bathing in the toilet and he know actually that im bathing. He plant camera in my house toilet izit... Lol. After that took a cab down to MeiMei house to lompang Amber and we went to the SAFRA Tampines to reigister. Lucky still can make it in time. Oh, must thank MeiMei again. She made breakfast for us!! Thanks Thanks. Ur breakfast let us have the strength to run!! aAdventura RaceThe sound of the horn goes off and we started running. Yea. We doesnt know which direction to run cause theres no clue card to the next station and so we just follow the crowd. And when we were just running outside the SAFRA, Amberlyn trip and she fall, has her cut n her kneecap but she said she is alrite, so we continue to run. Than, suddenly my bag the zip very loose and it start to open up my bag and the water bag drop out. Wah, start of the race and theres so many thing happen already.. Was wondering whether this is a good or bad sign... Than we run continously to the MRT track near the library. And this time, it was cycling. We cycled to Pasir Ris park and we detour alot. Hate it. =( Than finally, we found the stationmaster. This time, we have to collect as many rubbish as possible and the bag of rubbish must not pass through the tyre tube. Wah, they very clever hor. Ask us do free free Corrective Work Order during the race. =( Was lucky to have found a big styrofoam box. After that cycled to the next station.This time, we must tie our bike onto tyre tubes and wade across a river. At first doesnt know how to tie but monkey see monkey do so in the end, we found our way across the river. Wah, when across the river already, whole leg was cramping. Dont know why I use hand to wade but is leg cramp. Maybe is the sitting position. So we still must cycled across the bumpy road. And when I stand up to cycle, my both leg thigh muscle suddenly cramp like hell. It look like rock. Very very hard. Find ways to stretch and massage the muscles and continue with the race. Than we came to this station where we needed to do topography and my team actually forgot to bring our compass and we actually wanted to give up on this station. But luckily the stationmaster borrow us his compass and so we can continue. We found our first bearing but lost our second bearing and I advise to try our luck and just write any number on it. But Amberlyn advise to restart. This time, we do zhun zhun and very precise and very steady, and in the end, we complete it in like 20mins time. Next, we have to run to a bus-stop to take a bus to Yishun Interchange. Was so happy cause can rest in the bus. But the bus came so late and 1 team manage to catch up with us. When reach the interchange, we run to Yishun Safra and my leg tart to cramp again!! arghh... Was actually kneeling in front of the road doing stretching than 1 ah nei thought what happen to me and wan to come and help, but we quickly run away... Finally, we reach Yishun Safra and this is the final staion!! Have to do rock climbing this time. While climbing, hand was quite numb and tired but still try hard to climb towards the red tape. Theres a few time where I almost fall off but luckily still manage to hang on. After that, we run towards the finish line!!WOO~ And guess what?!? We came in 2nd for the youth mixed category!! This is my second adventure race and the first time I won a prize! I LOVE ADVENTURE RACES!!~Beast and fat pig recover soon! ~Theres still a second time~Cheers~*.*"
