48 Years Of Waiting Is Over

48 Years Of Waiting Is Over

Finally!! Singapore is going to win its first olympic medal after 48years by getting into the final of the Table Tennis Women's team event!! They get in by beating south Korea and this gurantee them at least a silver medal!! This is the first time in 48years that Singapore flag is going to fly during the meda award ceremony!
I'm so happy for Singapore man!! It didn's waste my 2hr plus watching the match that is shown live on Channel 5. After my presentation, I just chiong to SY=DD house to watch the match. Miss the 1st 2 game where Korean won 1 match and Singapore won 1 match, so its a tie. In women's team event, there are a total of 5 matches an it is a race to 3 match where teams have to win 3 matches.

I swear that this is the most intense and exciting match that I ever watch. It is more exciting than ManUTD vs Chelsea in the Champion Leagues and more exciting than taking a roller coaster ride. While watching, I was damn... Everytime when you see Singapore score, your heart will lift up but when you see South Korea score, your heart will sink. My hand was like sweating lo. And the match is like point for point between Singapore and Koreas and things may change in a split seconds. Damn interesting. Usually a match will only take less than 1 and a half hour, but it take more than 3 hour for the game to finish eh, this shows you how intense the game was.
I even watch till i'm late for AC meeting eh. SY=DD Daddy have to long pang me back to school. Haha. PaiSeh eh.
Congrats to Team Singapore once again!!!! You all are in great pressure to deliver for Singapore, and you have withstand it and thats a true Olympian!! Congrats to Li Jia Wei, Wang YueGu, Feng TiaWeiYou. You all have made Singaporean proud!
They are going to compete for the gold medal which will be on Sunday against an invincible China. However, even an invincible people has it weakness... So watch out=D
Alot of people has been saying that, "why so happy? In the first place they are all from China ma. So Singapore is like buying glory." However, I would like to say that we should treat them equally as a Singaporean rather than a "Singaporean foriegner".
1st reason: They hold a pink IC like us and a red Passport
2nd reason: They give up on their homeland and come to Singapore and settledown. If we were to say that they are a "Singaporean foriegner", than aren't we ourself is an example? Our forefather also came from China and India. So are we saying that we are the sons of China and India??
3rd reason: They truely are loyal to Singapore. That is what Li JiaWei trying to prove to all Singaporean by volunteering to carry our national flag during the marching out segment in the opening ceremony.

So give everyone a chance =l

Shedding the joy of tears

"I'm so happy that I want to become a Koala Bear!!"

Feng TianWei: "Oi!! ME ME ME!! I know the answer!! Let me answer the question!!"

Korea at the back: "Wa lao eh. So Kiasu..."

Congrats once again to WangYue Gu, Feng TianWei and Li Jia Wei

and lastly, some interesting coincidence is that the coach in the picture is actually the brother of China Table Tennis coach. So look out on Sunday.

Cheers~
