This question was discussed among the clique when we were talking about our future and I find out that different people have rather different views. Here is my view.For me, I would choose the first option-work a job that I like but have less pay. It is just like choosing between working as a CEO of a company for $1000 or working as a sweeper for $2000. Why I would choose the first option is because I know about my own character. I am someone who will put in all effort when I am interested in doing something. For example, for my Hong Kong trip, I am so want to make it happen that I don't mind spending hours in front of the computer researching and researching. I believe that my passion will produce quality work. If I am not interested in something, I may still continue to do it but I will not put in my best effort. And after doing it, I will also not feel a sense of satisfaction. Although money is important, but I believe money is not everything. I totally agree with this phrase, "money is not important, but without money, you are nothing." Yes it is true because money is an essential things in this society. But here, we are talking about $1000. For me, I think that if I were to lead a normal life without splurging on high expense items or services, I am able to live through monthly with $1000.Some people may argue, what if $1000 is not enough? Would I still choose over passion than money? Of course, if the environment is beyond my control and I really need extra cash to get by the days, I would have no choice but to choose over money. But right now, what we are debating is that we have a choice.I also think that if I were to work a job that I dislike, I am like wasting 1/3 of my life away everyday. Why? Because I just work for the sake of working, I would be dragging my leg to work everyday and I will never enjoy my work. But if I were to work for a job that I like, I will wake up happily everyday, knowing that there are something that I am going to look forward to. I would enjoy the experience of working. And I would be happy everyday with lesser white hair.Money is a thing. You can't bring it with you when you leave this world. But beautiful experience can be brought with you everytime, anywhere. Thus why choose good money + bad experience rather than bad money + good experience? Thats why I am more willing to spend on holiday because it is an experience that is unique and rare.This is my view.
