AVATAR movie is great
Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 12/30/2009 07:12:00 PM

AVATAR 3D movie was really really NICE!! I enjoyed every part of the 3hrs movie! The animation, the world that the Director created was truely AMAZING!! People say that he is a genius and I guess it is true. It just makes you get deep into the movie. I don't mind becoming AVATAR because their lifestyle is just so cool even without computer or electronics stuff in it. Having a "USB hair" to connect to the nature, the animals... Just imagine you can fly around on ur personal birdie or dance in the glowing floor and surroundings, swimming near the waterfall all day long... Whao that would be my dream lifestyle too=D It is a movie that I don't mind to watch a 2nd or a third time. And I guess the 3D effect really make the movie more wonderful!! Haha. Waiting for the DVD to be out!! 4.8/5

At least this few days, working has been more meaningful because I got something to do

Going for a run later on although I do feel tired. Must motivate myself!

Tomorrow Siloso Beach Party!! Let our hair drop although mine is very short!!

Cheers~

Time for some meaning
Monday, December 28, 2009, 12/28/2009 10:24:00 PM

Haha. Thanks to my 8am-5pm NS life during weekdays, I can only do meaningful stuff during the evening. OK. Not saying that my NS life is not meaningful, what I can say is that it is a job that can really make me snore. And it is not just a small snore, it is really a LOUD SNORE!! Haha. I'm just bored to death inside. Now currently still on a learning period and thus, there is really nothing much for me to do and what I do is to see other people do and then they teach me how to do. And if they nothing to do, I also nothing to do. So if I nothing to do(typically 6hrs out of the 9hrs), I will read read newspaper, read read my book-Rich Dad Poor Dad: Guide to investing(Yea. One of my New Year resolution for next year is to know more about investment), go to MINDEF intranet to see see their forum, go for breakfast break tea break toilet break. And I think that if I become an old bird already, my life will still be ZZZ. I need outdoor!! I need exercise!! I need to be under the sun!! I need to move around cause I am once a hyper-active kid!! But guess I just have to Lan Lan Suck Thump and endure through this 1year and 10month and I will try my best to get the best out of it!!

And because of this unheathly job of sitting the whole day in the air-con room, I have decided to discipline myself into exercising. I have decided to hit the gym every Monday and Friday and went for a run every Wednesday. I guess this will be the motivation for me for the next 22months and I believe it will be meaningful=D If anyone of you interested in joining me for gym and/or run, do call me=DD

Tomorrow gonna watch Avatar 3D!!
And New Year Eve gonna go to the Siloso Beach Party!!

All this small little events/gathering/fun just makes you excited and looking forward everyday!!

Cheers~

Merry Christmas 2009
Friday, December 25, 2009, 12/25/2009 11:46:00 PM

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

What I like about christmas is exchanging present. It give you a feeling of secretive when you recieve a present, not knowing what is underneath the wrapping paper. And it was just fun. And it was interesting that today, christmas is clebrated by alot of other religion.

Now I am going to tell something that I did when I was young. Don't laugh after you read it.

I remember when I was, I think during primary 1. It was christmas eve and I really believe that there is Santa Clause in the world. So it was around night and I was at home and I really hope to recieve a present from Santa. So what I do is that I place a small brown table facing the window at my living room. Than I place a few of the christmas card that I recieved(one of it is those that once you open, a christmas music will be played) on the table. And with torchlight on(trying to attract Santa attention) and a personal white socks too. Hoping that Santa will come my house and place a present inside my socks or on the table, I went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning and went to the living room with an excited feeling, I was surprised and abit sad that the table was folded back to its original place and the stuff that I put on top of it was kept on the table. I guess it was my mum who came back from work and kept it. Now when I was recalling back this incidence, I feel that I was quite naive in the past but it was fun=D

Went to ren house with ler, aw, mok and sy during christmas eve for our christmas countdown and celebration. We ordered pizza for our dinner and played some poker card, mahjong and gift exchange before going to Tampines Mall for Cinema. Watched Bodyguards and Assassin. Personally, I like the show. It is something about history and it was great to see the stories of heroes that deserve our respect. Although the front part was abit draggy, the back of the movie give us some high waves. Overall, 3.5/5.

Today woke up in the afternoon and went to QiJun house for our celebration. Do another gift exchange and played PS3 beofre heading to Balestier for dinner with family. It is just great that family is involved this year.

Merry Chrismas once again!!

Cheers

KL trip-17 to 20 dec
Sunday, December 20, 2009, 12/20/2009 06:27:00 PM

Got back from Kuala Lumpur!

The 2nd time that I have been to KL. KL is a good place to stay for around 3-4days and anything more than that will be a 3 big Z and 3 small z- ZZZzzz. It's not that I didn't like the place but it just that the fun thing over there can only last for that amount of days. And the place lack basic facilities.

We took a train from Johor to KL in the night because the ticket price is much more cheaper compared to taking it in Tanjong Pagar train station. Train ride was quite an experience and got tortured at the same time by playing cards. Reached KL in the morning at around 630am. We had our breakfast at Mcdonald before proceeding to our first destination which is Sunway Lagoon. We got there by train and bus. One thing I like about travelling is to experience the live of the people over there like taking their public transport system and etc.

Sunway Lagoon was fun because I just love theme park. We got to try All-Terrain Vehicle(ATV) which was interesting. We also tried the flying fox which was great with all the cute kids in the pool trying to splash water on you while you are up that hanging and flying on the rope. And it was the 1st time that I took a 360degree pirate ship which was really exciting! Water theme park was great too but was sad that we wouldnt able to try the water slides as it is very crowded and we lazy to queue. After that, we settle our dinner at the Pyramid mall Manhatten fish market. Have a hearty meal because there is a Buy 3 get 1 free meal and we ordered quite alot and shared. Got to try different variety of fish and flavours in a day! Took a cab down to our guest house after that.

Malaysia Cab was really terrible!! Alot of cabbie don't use their meter so before you get on the taxi you have to request them to on and follow their meter. If they dont want, you can only find another cab which is willing to follow the meter to your destination.

Our guest house was not bad. Situated near the town area of Malaysia. It is cheap and clean although the room is small. But the staff there is friendly and I like the whole feel of the guest house. It is called Tropical guest house and it is really "Tropical". At the gate, there stood a gate that was made and decorated with dried long leaves and grass. And once you step in, there are bamboo shoot that act as a floor mat. The place is also decorated with pebbles and wooden furniture which give you a really comfortable and nature feel.

We check in and put our bag before going out and wander in the street at around 11pm and we end our night at around 2am.

Woke up at 730am and prepare ourself and we went to Petronas Tower. Initially wanted to get to the top of tower but we can't get the ticket so we just slack and shop around the shopping mall. We had our lunch at a nice Portuguese restaurant before cabbing to Time Square for a 2and half hour shopping spree. After the 2 and half hour, was sad that I couldn't get the thing that I wanted and we do not have enough time anymore, so we proceed to our next destination which is Petaling Street which is a night market. After the night market, it was already 820pm and we rushed our way back to our guest house to collect our bag and rush to the train station to catch our train back to Singapore which is at 935pm. Lucky we are able to make it at 930pm but everyone was sweating when we got into the train because we was walking very fast.

In the train, we decided to stop at Johor instead of Singapore so that we can go to City Square for more shopping as we still have cash to spare. And we reached Johor at around 6am. So we went to have our breakfast at a really sucky restaurant(similar to Singapore Ya Kun). imagine your half boiled egg is half raw egg... We played tai-dee, bluff and murderer to waste time before the shopping mall open which is at around 1030am. Shop around and was glad that I could get the stuff that I wanted and we got back to Singapore in the late afternoon.

It was a great cheap getaway to Malaysia!! We spent around S$80 for our 1 night accomodation and all our transportation including the return train ride from Singapore to Malaysia. And I bought around 535RM and I came back with only 10sen. Cool.

I am very sleepy right now and I haven't unpack my bag and pack my bag for tomorrow. Tomorrow gonna report back for NS. Got in Paya Lebar Airbase as an Admin Assistant. Was really happy about the location but somewhat not excited about the job scope as it is a boring but slack job I think. Gonna go carry my feet to pack my stuff and go orh orh liao.

Cheers~

Courage
Thursday, December 17, 2009, 12/17/2009 12:02:00 PM

Tonight gonna be a good night...
Tonight gonna be a good night...
Cuz tonight gonna be a good good night...

Cuz it is KL time!!

I have a wierd dream this morning. Dreamt that I got into a JCT vocation when a personnal called me from JCT from OCS and asked for my personal information. What is JCT? Junior Computer Technician? Jeep Car Trainee? Haha. Hope its an interesting vocation that I am going to get coming this Friday!

Sometimes we tend to lock ourself up,
shut ourself out.
Cause we are afraid and tired to face the storm.
But open your heart,
be courageous to face it,
and the storm will eventually past,
the sun will eventually come out,
And you will only know it when you look out of the lock
Cheers~

Be content and enjoy every moment
Monday, December 14, 2009, 12/14/2009 09:01:00 PM

Life Transformer 2 is really a nice show. It makes you reflect on yourself and about your life. A simple kitchen sink can make someone so happy that she can't sleep for one whole night. What about us? A new computer maybe? Or going on a holiday? A simple thing that you may not even give a second glance to may make another one very very happy.

They may not have a simple bed, they may not have a big television, and they may not even have a proper wardrobe, but they surely have a lot of LOVE that even I will feel ashamed of. They weathered the storm together and never ever let go of each other. And that is LOVE. The son only birthday wish is the speedy recovery of his dad illness, not even a new football which he like very much even though his old one was torn. Their life may be hard, but it toughened their will. And we just have to be contented with what we have.

Went to Maple Clinic today which is damn insane. Imagine I woke up at 715am in the morning and went to the clinic to queue up at 745am which open at 830am. And guess what time did I see the doctor?

Not 10am..
Not 11am..
Not 12am.. More more.
Not 1pm...

Yes its freaking 155pm!!
6hrs of waiting eh!!

Maple clinic is freaking popular!! Lucky i'm smart. After I got my queue number, I went home to slack awhile before going back or else my whole morning is wasted.

Slacked at home today. Got time to tidy up my desk and wardrobe. And also my freaking duffle bag and field bag which was on my living room table for a week. This shows you how lazy I am to touch my army stuff during my block leave period.

I like my May 16 2008 post.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....Thrown away.
Life is not a race
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Yea. That's why we have to enjoy every moment that we are given, cause every moment don't last forever.

Cheers~

Great week
Sunday, December 13, 2009, 12/13/2009 05:56:00 PM

Woo~ Currently feeling excited for the KL trip with ACs. I think you just have to get out of Singapore to make you excited. Gonna take a train there and it has been ages since I took a train to Malaysia.

Wednesday was suppose to meet up platoon mates for some lan gaming, but due to some miscommunication, it was killed and I ended up meeting some of them to gaigai around Orchard road. Than went along with them to their section gathering at Manhattan Fish Market. Food was similiar to Fish and Co. and I like it. After that, it was early so we decided to play some lan gaming at Parklane. And due to the shitty computer, we can't play left for dead 2 and we ended up playing counterstrike.

Thursday went to have Sakae Sushi with Ler , Aw, Mok and SY. Aw and Mok enlisting into NS the next day so it can be considered a last day clebration of being a Civilian. Ate until damn damn full. It is TOTALLY lucky that Aw and Mok is not only in the same company, but also in the same platoon and also the same section!! That is heng or wat? Went to Rebel with ACs in the night. Great partying with them. I starting to love dancing more and more!

Friday, slack at home for the whole afternoon before meeting up with iguides for a chirstmas celebration in TP. The event was ok with magic to see and food to eat. What makes it interesting is of course the people itself. Have some talk cock session before meeting ACs for Teo Heng KTV session. And we played Left for dead 2. Finally I got to play my virgin L4D2!! It was fun and being a zombie was funner cause u get to do sneak attack on the human! Have Rochar tau hua at Geylang after that.

Met up with Ler and Ren yesterday. Went to have some shopping session at Tampines Central and I got to eat my favourite Pastamania again! After that, We went back to Teo Heng KTV, yes again. Have our supper at the Taiwan tau hua shop at Geylang and I got to eat my shao bing(burn biscuit) with floss and egg too! YumYum.

Went to Aston near my house Kopitiam for lunch today. After that, met up with Desmond for some gym session. Need to maintain my strength and stamina or else I scared I will become flabby. But was shock that after not weighing my weight for so long(like 2months), my weight was still the same as before. Hmmm. When can I hit my ideal weight of 60kg? And another shock was that Desmond weight is now only 60kg!! Wo0t~ Ninja FTW!! Later gonna met up with some of the ACs for pool session.

That sums up my great week. Countdown to KL trip!!

Cheers~

POC lo
Wednesday, December 09, 2009, 12/09/2009 12:11:00 PM

POC lo! Had our passing out ceremony on Monday. Out from Tekong, a place where the wall is yellow and the roof is red, where boys gain physically and mentally stronger. It was a great 7weeks with my section mates and my platoon mates. Although sometimes it may be tough, you know that there are others who are going through the same shit with you and this is what makes you endure and perservere. It is a place where it has its tough side and a place where it has its fun side. Where people do funny or blur stuff that makes you laugh. The days will be remembered.

When I was walking towards the Tekong Ferry Terminal for my last ferry back to Singapore, I turned and have a last look of the place and draw the picture in my heart because this is a place where people call "the best place of your 2years NS".

Went to Johor yesterday with mum and dad. Had a foot massage which was cheap and good at rm32 only. I memorise the route which was at Jalan Gaya so that one day I can go there with my friends.

Cheers~
